You may have noticed that you can choose to showcase photos side-by-side! All you have to do is upload your first picture, minimize it (see green arrows), upload your second picture and minimize that one and they will be placed side by side.
But what if the photos are of different sizes? After you Gild your post one photo will look longer and larger than the one next to it, as shown below.
What can you do to align them next to each other? Go back into Edit post and use the Resize Image button in the top left, see below.
By clicking the Resize Image button on both, your photos will look like this:
See if you can spot the difference?! It is very small, but the top of the photos are now aligned and the Resize Image button now says Unresize Image.
The next step is to align the longer photo with the shorter one by using the dragging up and down arrows under the photos. Drag the arrows of the longer photo up until it is in line with the shorter photo and you will see this:
What happened here?! The photos are side by side but the photo on the left seems to have lost its principal focus. Not to worry! Click on the photo and drag the part that you want to be in focus, and zoom in or out if you can. By dragging the photo the road shows up again, and it will look like this:
Looking good! Both photos have preserved their original focus and are now side by side. You are ready to Gild!
Below is how your photos will look after Gilding. If not, you can go back into Edit and Resize again until the photos are aligned to your satisfaction.
