Do you know someone who has to spend money whenever they go out? Are you this type of person? This can present a real problem, especially if you are purchasing things that you will never use at any point. Such an individual likely has a buying addiction problem. It may be tough, but there are ways in which you can curb this behavior.
Many people who having a buying addiction have credit cards. This allows someone to pay for items without having to think about the cost at that time. They may think of it as having unlimited funds, and that they will “worry about it at a later time” when the statement comes. However, this really can add up and cost you much more than you want to spend when you consider that you do this often.
A way that you can remedy this is to pay with only checks, debit cards, or better yet, cash. Having limited funds to spend makes you much more conscientious about what you are doing.
