It has been a family tradition for my family to eat at a dim sum place for many holidays, including Father’s Day. Today I enjoyed some dim sum (which, as a fun fact, is translated as “drink tea” in English from Cantonese) with my family who usually finds it hard to get together due to each others’ busy schedules.
There are lot’s to order in any restaurant that offers dim sum in the morning/early afternoon, that range from steamed BBQ buns to cold chicken feet (I have an image with both in them here). Although I am not a large fan of the cuisine, I enjoy the experience of eating out with my family, and am grateful that we could have all gotten together today to eat, catch up, and cherish today.
If you have yet to try it, I highly suggest that you head over to a Chinese restaurant sometime soon! It may not be the most gourmet of gourmet foods, but the taste is different, and the experience is definitely something you do not get exposed to everyday. As a warning though, the restaurants may be a little loud! 😛
