The 2017 NFL Draft is in the books after an exciting three days of action in Philadelphia. For many, the debates heated up as early as Thursday Night while some waited for the NFL Draft weekend to wrap up to state their opinions on how the draft went.
Players like Myles Garrett, Mike Williams, Leonard Fournette and Solomon Thomas dominated at the college level and indeed played at high levels, however no one can actually say how good these guys will be at the next level when playing against the best players in the world.
Here are three of the draft classes we really liked from the 2017 NFL Draft.
This team could be a team to watch over the next few seasons after another solid class. The team stayed course and didn’t look for that surprise or gamble pick as we have seen from them over the last decade. The team drafted a quarterback’s nightmare in Garrett as well as a player who has the ability to make a big play on both sides of the ball in Jabrill Peppers. Meanwhile the team added talent at the tight end position while also drafting possibly the best quarterback in this year’s draft without giving up picks in Deshone Kizer. The team also added a ton of talent on the defensive side of the balls with Larry Ogunjobi and Howard Wilson, while Caleb Brantley could be a steal if he can turn his life around.
Green Bay Packers
Despite securing a pick in the first round after trading back, the Packers still put together one of the best drafts on paper that we have seen. The team added two studs to their secondary in Kevin King and Josh Jones while also adding some solid value in the later rounds. For us the King pick was a huge addition, as he has the tangibles to be the best cornerback drafted in this class. Meanwhile the addition of DeAngelo Yancey to the receiving corps could be huge as he had the potential of any of the receivers that were drafted in the first three rounds.
The Skins landed talent across the board in each of their first six picks with players who could make a huge impact in year one. They managed to steal Jonathan Allen at the back of the round, while Ryan Anderson gives the team one of the better linebacker corps in the NFL. They added a very talented cornerback in Fabian Moreau who we can see being one of the better players out of this draft. Meanwhile Samaje Perine could be a difference maker on the offensive side of the ball.
Five years from now we can tell you who got an A and who failed during the 2017 NFL Draft.
