Bundchen, the Brazilian supermodel who has lit up catwalks around the world for 20 years, is retiring from the runway.
One of the world’s top supermodels, Gisele Bunchen is hanging up her walking boots. She officially informed the world on her Instgram: “Today after 20 years in the industry, it is a privilege to be doing my last fashion show by choice and yet still be working in other facets of the business,” she posted on April 15.
Gisele has officially retired from catwalk modeling and clearly wants to move on to bigger and better things. The gorgeous Brazilian supermodel strutted her stuff one last time in Sao Paulo, the city where it all started, for the Colcci Summer collection at Sao Paulo Fashion Week.
Gisele was discovered at a shopping center in Sao Paulo at the age of 14 and had an very impressive 20 year career, which includes walking for all the major fashion houses and being a Victoria’s Secret Angel.
She has also very successfully managed her career and family, the beautiful 34 year old is married to NFL hero quarterback, Captain of the SuperBowl winning New England Patriots, Tom Brady. The couple have been together for 9 years, married for 6 and have two children.
Tom and Gisele’s parents were in the audience as she bid farewell to the catwalk in an emotional final performance, as all her family could not contain their emotion and pride.

Her husband shared his public congratulations on social media too, writing “I am so proud of you and everything you have accomplished on the runway,” hashtagging his post #thebestisyettocome.
Gisele may have retired from the catwalk but she has big plans for her future, it is reported that that she will start her own brand like many supermodels before her. Forbes estimated Gisele made $47 million in 2014, and now she is moving on to a new chapter and undoubtedly even more success.
