Famous for her prom-and-party styles, Sherri Hill released a glimmering collection of gowns, dresses, and more at her February New York Fashion Week runway. Unique floral, animal, and sequined prints in colors ranging from silver to periwinkle to black were all present. You could also see pink on a few of the models, including on a long mermaid-cut dress with a ruffled skirt and sparkling, delicate straps. In addition to the formal wear, the collection also featured crop tops and short skirts perfect for dancing. There were several beaded mini-dresses in gorgeous jewel tones like ruby and sapphire.

Who Is Sherri Hill?
Sherri Hill was born in a small Oklahoma town and worked at her family’s general store chain. She immediately took to the fabric section and was able to dress the four front-window mannequins. This love of fashion lead her to study design at the University of Oklahoma. She began designing evening gowns, and after graduating, Hill started work for evening-wear manufacturers.

Her dresses began catching the fashion world’s attention after many high-profile pageant winners wore her gowns. The winning contestants for Miss America, Miss USA, and Miss Universe all wore her dresses. In 2011, she made her New York Fashion Week debut, which featured Kendall Jenner in her first runway walk.
Sherri Hill’s prom dresses for the 2018 year feature a lot of sparkling red, including a large rose floral pattern. Hill is never one to shy away from a variety of colors, however, so you’ll also see baby blues, gleaming white, pale pinks, and lilac.
